• Le Vallon de Bérard

    Vallon de Bérard natural reserve

    It is found within the Aiguilles Rouges nature reserve, it is the youngest of the Aiguilles Rouges reserves, it dates from 1992 and is part of the Vallorcine community. Situated on the shady side of the aiguilles des Chamois,  Belvédère and Bérard, it contains five small glaciers which survived after the mini ice age of the XVIII century.

    Carlaveyron natural reserve

    Near to the Bel Lachat Refuge, the Carlaveyron reserve was created in 1991 and is within the Les Houches comunity.

    Its limited to the north by les gorges de la Diosaz, it is comprised of the  montagnes du Fer and the Vorgealle and encompasses the old Carlaveyron pastures
